Fairy tale Friday #7

We’ve had a few birthdays this week at Teddy Bo towers, Claire has reached the big 40, Helle the big 50 and Jill who is celebrating her birthday tomorrow, won’t tell us her age! Edna has been feeling quite depressed as Rip had dumped her for an older woman who still had all her own teeth! and she had mislaid her large rubber stamp collection, she was very attached to her stamps so this was particularly upsetting for her.

We decided that with all the birthdays to celebrate, and Edna feeling down, a night on the town was in order, unfortunately we would have to travel a little further afield to find a town that we hadn’t had a night out in yet, as we had been banned from most of the local ones!!!
We climbed aboard the mini-bus and set off. Helle and Jill brought out another crate of aquavit, (they seem to have a never ending supply, I think they brew their own!).  Claire was sipping sherry on the back seat in her pink twinset and pearls, she had dressed up a little and added a tiara and elbow length satin gloves. Edna had her gold hot pants on again, with black fishnet stockings and suspenders underneath, and a skintight gold sequinned waistcoat. Tammy was very modestly dressed in a floor length rubber coat, which was very unusual for her.

After driving for a while we finally found a wine bar that we hadn’t been barred from yet. It was quite a large place with a huge fish tank in the middle of the room and a small dance floor in front of it. A couple of rounds later and we were all up dancing, Claire was once again doing the can can, flinging her tweed skirt over her head and flashing her flannelette bloomers, Edna was pole dancing, but they didn’t have a pole so she was making do with the fruit machine. Kathy was jitterbugging, Gayle was dancing a jig and Nicole and Nela were doing the Polka. It wouldn’t have been so bad but the juke box was playing Robbie Williams’ Angels!

The trouble began when Tammy finally decided to remove her coat, imagine our surprise when we discovered that the dress underneath was made up from all of Edna’s rubber stamps stitched together, like some sort of patchwork design. When Edna saw it she got very angry and took a flying leap right off the fruit machine and straight onto Tammy’s back, screaming that she wanted her stamps back right now!, there was a lot of scratching and hair pulling going on, then Edna sunk her teeth into Tammy’s neck and held on tight, Tammy spun round and round trying to shake her off when, suddenly, Edna flew across the room and landed in the fish tank, her dentures still attached to Tammy’s neck. Unfortunately Edna can’t swim, but luckily right at that moment the local lifeguards turned up (they'd come straight from work so were still in uniform!). A couple  of them dived into the tank and tried to pull Edna out, it took quite a while though as her suspenders had got caught around a rock and every time they got her to the surface she boinged right back in again as if she was on a bungy rope, they finally realised the problem, and got her out safely, she lay 'unconscious' on the floor and it was decided that mouth to mouth was needed. One of the lifeguards spent about 10 minutes giving Edna the kiss of life, luckily he didn’t notice her wink at us after about the first 30 seconds. Once Edna ‘came around’ the manager threw us out and we were barred from yet another bar.
The lifeguards were kind enough to carry Edna to the mini bus and make sure she was safely aboard. I sped off quickly as Edna was soaking wet and I didn't want her to get pneumonia, I didn't realise that the lifeguards hadn't had time to get off the mini bus before I set off... honestly!!! would I lie to you?!?!?!
It was far too late, once we had reached the towers, to take them back, so we kept them until morning LOL!

Once again there are some very sore heads this morning at the towers and most of the girls wouldn't eat the lovely full English breakfast I cooked for them.

I´ve colored the sweet image with Prismacolor pencils. Base colours of my card are light blue and light brown. The backing paper is from lemonade and the sentiment is by Hero Arts. I have decorated with buttons, parcel string and a small wooden flower.

I´ve been playing with the image *Bo wrapped*. I have chosen the colours brown and red for my card. The pattern paper is from DCWV and the border I´ve made with a Martha Stewart edge puncher. I've decorated with small Christmas stockings.

  3. Well Mau, we're usually very good about sharing (except when Tammy runs off with MY rubber) but in this case, it's finders keepers I'm afraid.
