Fairy tale Friday #19

I left you last week with the news that we had the builders in repairing the damage to the ballroom caused by Tammy’s Halloween outfit, wind and a candle. Well you’ll be glad to know that the work is all finished now, and things are slowly returning back to normal here at the towers although we have had a few problems.
Edna took a bit of a fancy to Sid, one of the builders, it all started when he found a couple of her teeth amongst the rubble and thinking she might like to have them back as a keepsake, he made them into a pair of earrings for her.

Of course Edna took this as a sign that he was in love with her, but thought he was too shy to tell her. One morning she came down in a very skin tight leopard print cat-suit (this must be new as we hadn't seen it before), and green and purple wedge sandals with ribbons that criss-crossed up her legs to her knees where they were tied in a big bow.
She insisted on taking tea and biscuits to the ballroom for Sid. The look of terror on his face when she sidled up to him and asked him if he would like a nibble of her HobNobs

was a sight to behold. She must have taken him about twenty cups of tea throughout the morning, and on each occasion she offered him something to nibble, if it wasn’t her HobNobs it was her French Fancy or Angel delight! each time he politely declined.

When he didn’t return to work after lunch, we thought that Edna must have scared him off.

We did feel a bit sorry for her though as she spent the whole afternoon locked in her room and there were terrible sobbing sounds coming from up there.
In the end we couldn’t bear the sobbing any longer, it was heart-breaking, so we all went up to Edna’s room and tried to persuade her to come out and have a couple of shots of Turnip Tequila to cheer her up.
Edna decided she would join us for a drink but the odd thing was that after she had left her room we could still hear the terrible sobbing sounds coming from inside.
Edna was soon very drunk and fell asleep under the table, but the noise from her room was getting louder and louder. In the end we went to investigate and imagine our surprise, when we searched her room to see where the noise was coming from and found Sid, locked in her wardrobe, crying his eyes out and begging to be released.
We helped him out and then he ran from the towers screaming that he would never ever return and we could get someone else in to finish off the work.
When Edna woke up the next morning, and crawled out from underneath the table still wearing the leopard print cat suit, Gayle gave her a good talking to and explained that you can’t kidnap people and keep them in your wardrobe. Edna said that she hadn’t kidnapped Sid, but had just borrowed him for a wee while and would have given him back once he'd had a nibble of her HobNobs!
After a good telling off, and feeling suitably abashed, Edna went to get changed, but came down a couple of minutes later looking very sheepish. It turned out that she did not even own a leopard print cat-suit, she had actually drawn the leopard print design onto her body with her ProMarkers! and although she had tried to scrub it, there was no way it would come off!
We made her sit in a bath of potato vodka, and within five minutes, all the pen had come off, (so had a couple of layers of Edna’s skin)
We also had a letter from the rest of the workmen saying that they would only come and finish off the work if we paid them danger money and kept Edna confined to her room while they were there! We had to agree as we desperately needed the work finished, we are hoping to eat our Christmas Dinner in the ballroom this year.

I made up this tin for a customer. Its made with the teddybobea_074 image. I find it so fun! I thought it would be fun to make a tin up as a Winter fun first aid kit. I addedd a pair of fuzzy gloves, a clear mug that i added a "cozy" too.. and some hot cocoa. She will be able to add a few more things if she so chooses. cute mitten and plaid papers along with a glittered red mulberry paper make up the tin.

  5. I don't think I'll be able to hear the word 'Promarkers' again without an image of Edna in her leopard print cat suit popping in to my head - oh dear! Though it's good to know that potato vodka removes ink from skin, I'll have to remember that - and before you start Colette, it's just my hands I'm talking about!
Great cards and creations as usual ladies.
Thank you for brightening up my morning.
