Wordy Wednesday

Hi lads and lassies it's time for another Wordy Wednesday. Thank you for joining us today and I hope you find something to amuse or give you pause for thought, but most of all inspire you!
I'm having some fun with my back this week so my thoughts turned to the topic of Health (or not as the case may be). So come share with me today the quotes I uncovered in my researches. :)

Let's go!

The best six doctors anywhere
And no one can deny it
Are sunshine, water, rest, and air
Exercise and diet.
These six will gladly you attend
If only you are willing
Your mind they'll ease
Your will they'll mend
And charge you not a shilling.
~Nursery rhyme quoted by Wayne Fields, What the River Knows, 1990

A good laugh and a long sleep are the best cures in the doctor's book. ~Irish Proverb

Health is a large word. It embraces not the body only, but the mind and spirit as well;... and not today's pain or pleasure alone, but the whole being and outlook of a man. ~James H. West

After these two, Dr. Diet and Dr. Quiet, Dr. Merriman is requisite to preserve health. ~James Howell

He who has health has hope; and he who has hope has everything. ~Arabic Proverb

A healthy outside starts from a healthy inside. ~ Author Unknown

Early to bed, early to rise, makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise ~ Proverb

The poorest man would not part with health for money, but the richest would gladly part with money for health. ~ Author Unknown

I've been on a constant diet for the last two decades. I've lost a total of 789 pounds. By all accounts I should be hanging from a charm bracelet. ~ Author Unknown

See you next week!
