I hope your week has been a good one so far?
I have been having so much fun with my TeddyBo images, creating these wonderful stars..
I’m making so many of these, all with different Teddy Bo images!! They’re going to be hanging from our extention, where it meets the lounge.. A square “archway” if you get what I mean?! Lol..
I’m sure you would all LOVE to have the tutorial on how to create these for yourselves -
So I won’t keep chatting! :0)
These are so quick and easy – honestly – so if any of you do make one, be sure to let us know here at Teddy Bo Towers! Smiles.
Items Needed …
Your favourite Teddy Bo Image.. (Smuiles.)
2 Sheets of design paper (size depends on what size star you are making.. I have made stars so far with 6 x 6 paper and 8 x 8 paper.. I prefer the 8inch because you have more space in the middle for your image.
A Pencil & A Ruler.
A Hole Punch Or Big Bite Tool etc.. plus eyelets if you have them.
A pretty ribbon!
And some glue. I prefer to use collal photo glue because it’s easier to line everything up perfectly.
Steps To Complete Your Star…
Okay – first you take ONE sheet of paper (cut to your size.. it has to be a PERFECT SQUARE!)
ENSURING YOUR PATTERN IS FACE DOWN!!!
Fold your paper diagonally so that 2corners meet.
Open back out flat and then fold the other way so that you now have a cross on your paper with the creases.
Now turn paper over and fold in each corner towards the centre point where the creases meet..
Next you turn your paper over (again!!) and you mark with your pencil & ruler 2.5cm on each line, from the centre point.
You also need to place your ruler diagonally (as in the picture below) and make marks on each cross line..
(These lines will guide you with your folding and are not visible once your star is complete with the topper on it.
If you click on the picture to make it large, you will see better for where you need to place your dots/marks.
Your next step is to cut along the crease lines to where you placed your dots..
DO NOT cut along the diagonal lines whatever you do!
Now you can fold in your corner points, using the pencil lines to guide you for placing your straight edges.
See above and below to guide you for this…
It’s much easier making it than writing about it! Lol..
This is how your finished star should look. Can you see how I folded in the corner points to line up with my marks?
Now you want to do EXACTLY THE SAME with your second sheet of paper.
Once both are complete you layer one on top of the other, placing the points of the top star, inbetween the points of the bottom star.
Glue in place.
Now you need to punch a hole in the top so that your pretty ribbon can go through.
I used a big bite tool and eyelets for mine, to keep it sturdy – less risk of tearing.
Now it’s time to thread your pretty ribbon through – and complete the star with your favourite Teddy Bo Image!! Smiles..
Ta Da!! All Done! :0)
Easy peasy isn’t it?
