Fairytale Friday

There was great excitement at the towers last week, as the container we had filled with most of our crafting supplies was finally arriving here in the UAE from Scotland.
We had managed to bring a small amount of supplies with us in our hand luggage, and replaced scissors and craft knives when we arrived, but the bulk of our stuff had been packed away in the container.
Gayle had also managed to hide a few pairs of breeding Haggis in there, as no matter how far away from the heather covered hills of Scotland we were, she couldn't survive without her precious Haggis sausages, curries and casseroles, and it is impossible to get fresh Haggis here in the UAE.
She had dosed them up with sedatives, put tartan caps and scarves on them, packed them in a box (with holes for breathing obviously) and labelled them as cuddly toys LOL! she was desperate to find out if they had managed to get past customs and survived the journey.

Gayle decided she would get her bagpipes out and “pipe” the container in, and Maritha persuaded her to play the Abba song Thank you for the music, you may remember the chorus goes something like this –

Thank you for the music, the songs I’m singing,
Thanks for all the joy they’re bringing,
Who can live without it, I ask in all honesty,
What would life be?
Without a song or dance what are we?
So I say thank you for the music
For giving it to me.

Maritha decided to change the words to fit the occasion so her version went,

Thank you for the craft stuff,
The cards I’m making,
Thanks for all the mess I'm creating,
Who can live without it, I ask in all honesty,
What would life be?
Without our dies, stamps and card - what are we?
So I say thank you for the craft stuff
For sending it to me!

Anyway, the container finally arrived on the back of a big lorry and imagine the poor drivers surprise, when he pulled up to a gaggle of chattering woman, jumping around excitedly in their bikinis (a sight to behold let me tell you - think plates of wrinkly jellies sitting on top of a spin dryer in full spin mode, yes, really, some bits were that wobbly LOL! I’m amazed he didn't turn around there and then and drive off into the desert never to be seen again).
On top of that horrendous sight, there was a mad Swedish woman sitting atop a camel that was wearing a tea towel on it's head and Raybans, she was howling out a song , while a strange Scottish woman, wearing a tartan bikini and Tam O’shanter hat, was fighting with a tartan octopus, that was screaming and screeching in pain as she strangled it (that’s exactly what the bagpipes look and sound like when the boss plays them hehe!).
He nervously and quickly unloaded the container and then jumped in his lorry and drove away at breakneck speed, shouting something in Arabic which  Debbie translated as "What a lovely bunch of well-behaved ladies", and which I translated as - "What a load of wrinkly nutters" haha!

After he had gone, we crowded around the container while Gayle unlocked it, desperate to get our hands on our precious craft supplies, but you’ll never guess what we found when we opened it up…..dum dum duuuuuummmmmmm!

Did the Haggis make it?
Did the copics leak?
Did the distress ink pads dry up?
Did the stick on gems, still stick?
Did the ribbon get knotted?

You’ll have to wait until next week to find out hehe!
