Teddy Bo Tuesday

Good Morning and a very happy Teddy Bo Tuesday to you all.......so glad you came to visit.

We're in the middle of a release at the moment so the girls have been having fun looking through some of their old graphics to make some wonderful cards....it really has been fun seeing these Teddy Bo & Bees on new cards.  Debbie even used one of the Celtic Fae graphics......gorgeous..x

You've still got time to get your card in for January's challenge....it finished this Sunday (3rd) at midnight (UK time)....we'd love to have you join us.

I'd also like to say goodbye to Elaine and thank her for her time with us...she's busy with other commitments and rather than splitting herself in half it makes more sense to concentrate her energies.  Thank you honey for all that you've done for Teddy Bo....xxxx

So, here's the girls' cards....I'm sure you'll enjoy the inspiration..x

Fairy Tale Friday

With the weather taking a turn for the worse all over the UK, Teddy Bo Towers was no exception, and the girls awoke on a chilly Tuesday morning to see the snow a foot deep on the ground outside, and still falling. Getting deeper and deeper. They had enough alcohol to last at least a week, so they weren’t unduly worried. They also had some food (haggis, and potatoes). However, at that point the electricity went off, and everyone stood looking at each other, and then the panic set in. Cries of ‘I can’t play Abba on my CD player, I can’t cook haggis for dinner tonight etc” resounded around the room.
Gayle stepped into the room. " Girls", she said,  "you may not be aware, but our power is paid for by a card meter. We go to the newsagents, spend some money, and they top up the card. We then put it in a machine here and that allows us more electricity. Now all we need is for someone to go to the corner shop and get some more power."
The girls looked outside the window at the snow, seeing the branches sway due to the strong winds, then they looked at each other. No volunteers. It took another hour and finally, Maritha and Debbie said they would go.
Fortunately Maritha is from Sweden, so she's used to the bad weather. They even had winter tyres and snow chains on their bicycle wheels! They strapped torches to their bikes to make sure they could be seen by any foolish motorists out in this weather. And they set of to the village looking for the corner shop so they could buy newspaper, eggs, sausages, potato scones, oh and to put some money on the power card.
The going was tough. The girls working hard to move through the snow, and with the wheels digging in, it was hard to try and turn, or brake, or do anything else. In fact going downhill, Maritha hit the brakes, the bike kept going, and she flew into a deep area of snow as she was thrown from the bike. But like a 'super trooper' she just got back onto the bike.
Two hours later, they staggered away from their bikes and into the shop where they rushed through the shop to stand beside a portable heater where they could warm their hands.
Electricity purchased, and some chocolate and whiskey and the other ingredients requested, the girls were ready to return. One step outside, and they couldn't see where they had left their bikes, the snow had covered them. They’d have to walk home as neither of them wanted a wet bum!
Trudging through the snow they spent three hours travelling the 3 miles to Teddy Bo towers. The snow continuing to fall, the snow now up to their knees as they dragged their shopping behind. It was about half way home when Debbie collapsed in the snow, unable to get up again.  Maritha stooped to help her, and it was then that they noticed the light in the distance calling them forward. And crawl forward they did, through the snow towards the light that turned out to be from one of the gritter lorries trying to open up the roads. The nice driver gave them a lift home, and that’ll be a nice thank you card getting sent his way, just as soon as their hands defrost.
The girls back at Teddy Bo Towers were having a snowball fight just as the Maritha and Debbie were dropped off. The heating was put back on, and the girls were soon defrosting in the beds. Hopefully they’ll be able to talk soon rather than the sound of chattering teeth.

Fairy Tale Friday

Phew! what a week we've had, after all the partying for Teddy Bo's birthday last week was finally over, and we had all sobered up, we realised that we were one DT member short, Donna was missing! we searched the tower from top to bottom but there was no sign of her.

Debbie decided to look for her under the beds, but within minutes she had been sidetracked by the dust and junk that was under them, and started cleaning up.
Gayle was checking out the kitchen until she realised there was some turnip soup left over from the birthday dinner and if she added some spinach and curry powder to it, we could have it for lunch.

Maritha and Lau were looking through the attic (it's where they brew all the alcohol, and if Donna was going to go missing anywhere it would probably be there as she has a fondness for their latest brew Pea and mint wine) but no, not a sign of her.
Claire went to search the big barn where the camels live, but she thought Cuthbert looked a bit cold, so grabbed her needles and some wool and started knitting a camel coat instead of hunting for Donna!

By this point we had come to the conclusion that Donna was nowhere in the tower and must have wandered off, so we thought it best to wrap up warmly (snow was forecast) and head down to the village, in case she had made her way there.

We had just stepped out of the front door when we noticed Officer Cuffem cycling up the drive on his police bicycle, with a very bedraggled looking Donna balancing on his handlebars, grasping an armful of lettuces and looking very sheepish - she was wearing a sheepskin coat, hat, gloves and boots LOL! - no seriously, she looked quite embarrassed.

It seems that after a few too many glasses of Pea and Mint wine, she had overheard misheard Gayle as she was explaining to Wendy how a blog hop worked, "well you hop from blog to blog and collect a letter at each one"

Officer Cuffem had found her at the duck pond in the middle of the village green, hopping from log to log, and as she landed on each log she would shout out loudly, "give me a lettuce, I need a lettuce now, I've got to collect lettuces". Quite a crowd had gathered to watch the spectacle, and were taking bets on how many more times she would fall in the water, eventually Artie Choke the greengrocer took pity on her and threw her some lettuces, and Officer Cuffem managed to talk her into coming ashore. He locked her in the cells over night to sober up and then brought her back to the tower.

Birthday Fairytale Friday

Happy Birthday Teddy Bo & Teddy Bea!
You would have thought after the festive period that the girls would have eaten too much, drank too much and chased too many men, and would be looking for a quiet January to recover. Well you would be wrong. Most people think about cutting back on the booze and fatty foods, but not our girls. You see, this is Teddy Bo's second birthday today. Yes, it feels like three years, but only two have passed since little Teddy Bo and Teddy Bea came into the world kicking and screaming (although that was mainly Teddy Bo).
Now the girls spent Monday to Wednesday getting fantastic cards ready for the site. Alcohol free to ensure that the cards are of the highest quality , though maybe a few of the girls may have sneaked in some of the leftover booze and haggis.
Thursday evening was selected as the best night to party as that meant recovery on Friday, repeat booze up Saturday, and recover Sunday, ready for an early start on Monday.
Lots of booze had been brought in for the party, food too. In fact I had gone to the bank to take the last few pounds out just in case they needed more at short notice. The crafting tables in the main hall were pushed together and a dozen table clothes were used to cover the table, ready for the feast.
The first course was turnip soup, washed down with turnip vodka. Not the nicest first course, but a good way to line the stomach before throwing in the alcohol.
The second course was haggis, neeps and tatties (haggis, more turnip, and boiled potatoes) , washed down with more turnip vodka (you can get used to the taste after a half bottle of the stuff). At this point, people were starting to get a bit squiffy, I staggered in with the third course, the world famous apple and turnip crumble pudding, but I had so much alcohol in me that I saw two giant tables in the hall , not one, and unfortunately put the tray down on the imaginary one, which left the floor in a bad state....I was taken away for a lie down.
Finally as the tea, bisuits, cheese and turnip crisps were being served, the music was put on. ABBA blared across the hall, waking the drunkest members from their slumber (even I dragged herself out of bed to boogie).
It's then it gets a bit hazy, and I can't remember much of what happened. I'm sure as time goes by I'll remember wee snippets of information, and I'll be sure to pass it on to you.
Meanwhile, thank you for your custom over the last two years. It's made Teddy Bo a joy to be involved in, and lets hope there are many more years of fun ahead.

As it is the terrible twosome's 2nd birthday today we are having a special blog hop to celebrate...

Starting here on the Teddy Bo Challenge blog you will move from one DT blog to the next following the list below...

Each blog will hold a letter that all together will spell out a secret phrase - the prize is an amazing £20 voucher to spend on digital products from Teddy Bo!

Your first letter is P.
Once you have collected this letter (and all the other letters on the blog hop) you should come back here and comment below with the secret phrase to be in with a chance to win the prize! All comments will have to be approved to keep the phrase secret so please don't think your comment hasn't posted!  Please make sure you're also a follower on this blog.

Also, if you become a follower on each of the Design Team's blogs you are in with a chance to win another free graphic...x
Don't forget to leave some love along the way!   Wait till you see the girl's wonderful cards.....xxx

Thank you friends....from me, Gayle...my little bears and all the Design Team girlies past and present....xx
