Apologies for the lack of Friday Fairytale yesterday, Colette put me in charge of it for ONE WEEK and I messed it up...I say, 'messed it up' what actually went on at the Towers was SO scandalous I thought that nobody would return to the blog if I posted it....so, rather than lose half the DT and a load of our wonderful friends I thought it would be better not to post...however, some of the girls did manage to make some beautiful cards that you can see below.....(pheew...I think I got away with that one!!! )

Teddy Bo Tuesday - Menu Choice Challenge

Goooooood Morning and a very happy Teddy Bo Tuesday to you all.
SO..did any of you get engaged on the 29th February!?!? Were any of you brave enough to ask your partners to marry you!?? We didn't have any engagements at the Towers although not for the want of trying.......Tammy was up to her usual antics and her whip is legendary in the local village so it made for a very entertaining end to February!!

If you choose butterflies, then no flowers or buttons are allowed etc., etc. Hope it all make sense?

Welcome to my little bit of inspiration, this week whilst spending far to much time on Pinterest I came across some beautiful Crochet. Now being left handed and my mum being right handed I've never managed to get to grips with knitting and haven't even thought about crochet before but after seeing these beautiful and very colourful creations - I might have to find a site and give it ago!

Crochet (English pronunciation: /kroʊˈʃeɪ/;^[1] French: [kʁɔʃɛ]^[2]) is a process of creating fabric from yarn, thread, or other material strands using a crochet hook. The word is derived from the French word "crochet", meaning hook. Hooks can be made of materials such as metals, woods or plastic and are commercially manufactured as well as produced by artisans. Crocheting, like knitting, consists of pulling loops through other loops, but additionally incorporates wrapping the working material around the hook one or more times. Crochet differs from knitting in that only one stitch is active at one time (exceptions being Tunisian crochet and Broomstick lace), stitches made with the same diameter of yarn are comparably taller, and a single crochet hook is used instead of two knitting needles. Additionally, crochet has its own system of symbols to represent stitch types

Fairy Tale Friday #34

There was great excitement in the towers today as Edna received a letter from her Uncle Humphrey, catching her up on everything that was happening back home.

We really look forward to his letters, and Edna reads it out loud to us all, while we are eating our breakfast, this morning we enjoyed Haggis crumpets, topped with Haggis marmalade, yummy!

Here is the letter;

My dearest Edna,

I haven’t written to you for a while as I haven’t been feeling too good. I went to the doctors, and told him that when I touch my shoulder it hurts, when I touch my elbow it hurts, when I touch my knee it hurts, when I touch my face it hurts, everywhere I touch it hurts. “Oh that’s simple” the doctor replies, “You’ve got a broken finger”

I do hope you haven’t been trying to contact us by phone, because we’ve been having a few problems, Horace the pig was struck by lightning in the bad storm we had recently, he flew up in the air, and landed on the telephone wire, he was well and truly roasted, unfortunately we now have crackling on the line.

I haven't spoken to my mother-in-law for 18 months - I don't like to interrupt her

Uncle Wilf and Aunty Enid's baby has finally arrived. Wilf called the hospital when Enid went into labour, he was panicking and shouted down the phone, "Help, my wife is in labour!"

The nurse said, "Calm down sir, is this her first child?"

Wilfred replied, "No. This is her husband."

When he took her to the hospital to give birth, the doctor told them that he'd developed a new machine and asked if they'd like to try it. The machine would take some of Enid's pain away and give it to the father thereby easing the mothers burden.

They thought it was a good idea and agreed to give it a try.

The Doc set it on 10% to begin with, telling Wilf that 10% was still probably more pain than he had ever felt before. Wilf was surprised at how little pain he was actually feeling and asked for it to be increased. The doctor turned it up to 20% with the same results. This trend continued until the machine was set at 100%.

After the delivery both mother and father felt fine. Enid was relieved at having an almost painless labour and Wilf was still amazed at how little pain was actually involved. Later, when they took the baby home, they found the milkman dead on their doorstep.

They’ve recently had the baby Christened his name is 'Glug Glug'. The vicar fell in the font!

An envelope came through the door today and it was marked 'PLEASE DO NOT BEND'. I still haven't worked out how I am supposed to pick it up.

Uncle Albert got a new job, but gave it up after a week, he was designing Cul-de-Sacs, but said it was a dead end job.

My wife came home from work in tears and asked me to console her. So I hit her over the head with my X-Box.

Aunty Gertie went out for some shopping the other day, she said she would be half an hour, six hours later we sent Billy to the shop to look for her, he found her standing staring at a carton of Orange Juice, because it said concentrate!

Cousin Hugo went into the pub with a salmon under his arm, he asked the barman, “do you do fishcakes?” the barman shakes his head, “Oh what a shame” says Hugo, “It’s his birthday”

Every morning I take my wife tea in my pyjamas, she loves it, but the pyjamas are getting a bit soggy.

My brother Ernie has two black eyes and a broken nose, it seems his wife Betty was standing naked in front of him and said to him, "I look horrible. I feel fat and ugly. Please pay me a compliment." He replied, "Your eyesight is perfect." She floored him with one punch.

Cousin Henry went to one of those wife-swapping party’s last week, he got a smashing alternator for his van.

Great aunt Veronica has just finished that jigsaw puzzle you sent her, it took her six months to complete, she is very pleased with herself because it says ‘2 to 4 years’ on the box!

You’ll be pleased to know that Percy has a new job, he has five hundred men under him … he’s cutting the grass at the cemetery.

Well I’m going to sign off now as there isn’t much news at this time, nothing out of the normal has happened here.

Saint David's Day (Welsh: Dydd Gŵyl Dewi) is the feast of Saint David, the patron Saint of Wales and falls on 1 March each year. The date of 1 March was chosen in remembrance of the death of Saint David. Tradition holds that he died on that day in 589. The date was declared a national day of celebration within Wales in the 18th century.

St. David (Welsh: Dewi Sant) was born towards the end of the fifth century. He was a scion of the royal house of Ceredigion, and founded a Celtic monastic community at Glyn Rhosin (The Vale of Roses) on the western headland of Sir Benfro, at the spot where St David's Cathedral stands today. David's fame as a teacher and ascetic spread throughout the Celtic world. His foundation at Glyn Rhosin became an important Christian shrine, and the most important centre in Wales. The date of Dewi Sant's death is recorded as 1 March, but the year is uncertain – possibly 588. As his tearful monks prepared for his death St David uttered these words: 'Brothers be ye constant. The yoke which with single mind ye have taken, bear ye to the end; and whatsoever ye have seen with me and heard, keep and fulfil'.
For centuries the first of March has been a national festival. St David was recognised as a national patron saint at the height of Welsh resistance to the Normans. St David's day was celebrated by the diaspora from an early period: the 17th century diarist Samuel Pepys noted how Welsh celebrations in London for St David's day would spark wider countercelebrations amongst their English neighbours: life-sized effigies of Welshmen were symbolically lynched, and by the 18th century the custom had arisen of confectioners producing 'Taffies' – gingerbread figures baked in the shape of a Welshman riding a goat - on St David's Day^[5].
In 2003 in the United States, St. David's Day was recognised officially as the national day of the Welsh, and on 1 March the Empire State Building was floodlit in the national colours, red, green and white. It is invariably celebrated by Welsh societies throughout the world with dinners, parties, recitals and concerts.
To celebrate this day, people wear a symbol of either a leek, or daffodil. The leek arises from an occasion when a troop of Welsh were able to distinguish each other from a troop of English enemy dressed in similar fashion by wearing leeks. An alternative emblem developed in recent years is the daffodil.^[6]
In the poem Armes Prydain, composed in the early to mid-tenth century AD, the anonymous author prophesises that the Cymry (the Welsh people) will unite and join an alliance of fellow-Celts to repel the Anglo-Saxons, under the banner of St David: A lluman glân Dewi a ddyrchafant (And they will raise the pure banner of Dewi).^[7]

Fairy Tale Friday #33

A few days ago Gayle gathered us all up in the great hall and announced that it was time for the Annual spring cleaning of the towers. A big groan went up around the room, apart from Debbie who was jumping up and down with glee. Knowing how much Debbie enjoys to clean and how fastidious she is about it Gayle put her in charge of organising us for the big clean-up while she went out to hunt Haggis.

Debbie decided she would issue each of us with a different job to do and went off to make a list of what needed doing and who would do it. She told us to meet back in the great hall in one hour’s time and she would allocate us all our tasks.

We headed to the kitchen for a cuppa and a good old moan while we waited, and said how lucky Jill was to be sunning herself on a beach in Thailand while we all had to scrub floors and wash windows. An hour later we were all back in the great hall awaiting our instructions.

Debbie had paired us all up and was about to tell us what our jobs would be.

Claire and Colette will dust all surfaces, particularly making sure to get the dust bunnies from under the furniture.

Now hang on just a minute! says I, if disturbed, Dust Bunnies cannot evolve into Dust Rhinos, so we cannot sweep them up as they have an ecological exemption and we refuse to be responsible for the extinction of the Dust Rhino, also, says Claire, I like the dust bunnies, they are very good company, I have named most of them, and they are the only things that agree with everything I say!

For the Health and Safety of the Dust bunnies and their eventual evolutionary development into Dust Rhinos we just cannot do it!

The other girls are giggling in the background.

Debbie glares at us and moves onto Maritha and Helle, whose job she says, is to wash all the windows.

Now hang on just a minute!, says Helle, I don’t do windows because I love birds and don’t want one to fly into a clean window and get hurt, then Maritha pipes in, and I won’t do the windows because layers of dirt on windows provide a helpful filter against the harmful and aging rays of the sun, it’s like an SPF factor of 5, so for the health and safety of people and birds we cannot clean the windows.

Debbie doesn’t know how to react to this so she tries again with the next pair.

Nela and Nicole, you will take a couple of feather dusters and go into each room and clear the cobwebs from the lightshades and corners of the rooms, she says.

Now hang on just a minute! says Nicole, I don’t disturb cobwebs because I want every creature to have a home of their own and I would be encroaching on their civil liberties by demolishing the very home that they have worked hard to build for themselves and their families! Plus, says Nela the cobwebs that are artfully draped over the lightshades reduce the glare from the bulbs, thereby creating a comfortable level of lighting for working in, once again for health and safety reasons we cannot remove the cobwebs as we could all end up with bad eyes from squinting against the bright lights.

Debbie swiftly moves on.

She announces that Tammy and Hazel’s jobs will be to vacuum the carpets and wax the wooden floors.

Now hang on just a minute! says Tammy with a very serious face, you shouldn’t vacuum too often, it weakens the carpet fibres and Gayle would be very angry indeed if all her antique carpets and rugs fell apart, and can you imagine how much dust that would make? also, says Hazel, there is no way in the world I am going to be waxing the floors, ….I would be terrified of a guest slipping and getting hurt and then possibly suing us for millions of pounds of compensation, so for Health and safety reasons I am afraid floor waxing is a definite no-no!

Debbie can’t argue with the Health and Safety rules, so she moves on to the next couple on her list Renee and Tammy Louise. They are given the job of clearing up the mounds of pet hair (cats, camels and Haggis) that have been brushed into the corners of the rooms.

Now hang on just a doggone minute! they call out in unison, we can’t clear out the mounds of pet hairs, we let them build up purposefully as we use it for stuffing the hand-sewn play animals we make for underprivileged children. If you make us clear them up, then you will be the one who visits the children and watches their excited little faces drop, and tears fill their big puppy dog eyes, as they wring their hands together with sadness when they realise there are no more stuffed animals for them to play with, and with nothing to play with they will slowly start going mad, so for the health and safety of the underprivileged children it is not possible for us to clear up the pet hairs!

Debbie is getting quite frustrated with us all by now, but she keeps on trying, next approaching Kirsty-Anne and Liz. Now, you two ladies will be responsible for putting everything that’s laying around back in its correct place and clearing up the haphazard towers of craft magazines from around everyone’s chairs.

Now just hang on a wee minute! says Liz - If we tidy everything away, nobody will know where to find anything, they will end up rooting through all the cupboards and drawers, pulling everything out and putting them around the floor, which could be very dangerous as someone could trip over one of these objects and hurt themselves. As for the magazines, says Kirsty-Anne, piled up the way they are around the chairs, they provide the valuable Feng-Shui aspect of a tiger, thereby reducing our vulnerability, at this point she rolls her eyes and continues on with..... so for Health and Safety reasons, we can’t possible tidy anything away!

Debbie turns to Edna and pleads with her to help with the Spring Cleaning.

Now just hold your horses a minute! replies Edna, I don’t do Spring Cleaning because I love all the seasons equally and I don’t want Summer, Winter and Autumn to get jealous!

But the place is so messy, says Debbie, what would happen if visitors turned up unexpectedly and saw it like this. Oh that’s easily solved says Edna, we’ll just keep several get well cards on the mantelpiece… they will just think we have been too ill to clean up, and won’t think any the worse of us.

And on that note we all strolled up to the craft room to do some card making, except for Debbie, who decided that for Health and Safety reasons she needed to clean the bathrooms once again!

Its Monday again and where does the weeks go to?
This weeks inspiration is Shabby Chic, something I'm not very good at but I really love the style.
One day I will master it lol!

Shabby chic is a form of interior design where furniture and furnishings are either chosen for their age and signs of wear and tear or new items are distressed to achieve the appearance of an antique. At the same time, a soft, minimalistic, and feminine feel is emphasized to differentiate it from regular vintage decor; hence the "chic" in the name,
Shabby chic items are often heavily painted through the years, with many layers showing through obviously time-worn areas. The style is imitated in faux painting using glaze or by painting then rubbing and sanding away the top coat to show the wood or base coats. Fabrics tend to be cottons and linens, with linen being particularly popular, inspired by old French linens. Whites and worn or bleached out pastels are favorite colours. Fabric is often stained with tea to give it the look of old fabric. Bleached and faded are terms often applied to the style. It is not meant for old chipped furniture.
The essence of today's shabby chic style is vintage and antique furniture with the original aged paint, or painted white (or another soft pastel color) and distressed at the corners by sanding. Antique pieces such as pie safes and jelly cupboards are popular in shabby chic décor.^[2]
Popular decor items are pillows made of vintage barkcloth fabric, vintage linens, chenille bedspreads, vintage chandeliers, and anything with roses on it. It is a soft, relaxed feminine romantic way of decorating that looks comfortable and inviting. Also called cottage style.

Last week I made two of the biggest mistakes of my life. The first was to get up in the night feeling a little peckish and tuck into that scrumptious looking curry pie that was tucked in the back of the fridge behind the Haggis Humus. It was so hard to resist with it’s lovely thick crust and even though it had a bit of an odd taste it didn’t put me off as most of the food in the towers has an odd taste, and I thought the green bits in it were some kind of vegetable, so I was getting one of my five a day too. I didn’t realise the crust was skin that had formed over a four week old curry and that the ‘green vegetables’ were actually mould. Yuk!!!

I ended up spending a day or two camping out in the third floor toilet, much to Debbie’s dismay, (she loves to clean does Debbie), and she wasn’t best pleased that: 1. I was making a mess in the bathroom and 2. She couldn’t get in to clean it up. Feeling as bad as I did things only got worse when Debbie decided that she would sing me a song to help me feel better and burst into her version of UB40’s Red, Red, Wine, which sounded more like a menu choice than a song and was the last thing I needed to hear after being so sick, just so that you can all sympathise with me it went like this – Red, Red, Wine…… Steak, lobster, meat, (which should have been stay close to me!) followed immediately by Bea, Bo loves bacon, Bea, Bo loves bacon, to the tune of Elvis Presley’s Viva Las Vegas.I finally left the bathroom when she broke into Madonna’s La Isla Bonita ---

Last night I dreamt of some bagels,
Crust like an onion, I knew the pong.
Young girls with eyes like potatoes,
It all seems like fish pate - not far away.
Proper jelly, Iceland cheese,
all the butter climbed on me,
this is why I need a pee
I'll eat a fajita!

A couple of days later I was feeling much better and this is when I made the second mistake. Edna asked me if I would drive her into town and accompany her to the doctors and the opticians as she had decided to have a bit of a check-up. She needed someone to come along with her as she couldn’t always remember everything she was told.

The doctors waiting room was very full when we arrived and we waited for nearly three quarters of an hour before we got in to see him.

Edna and the doctor are chatting away while he is examining her, in the middle of the conversation, he casually says “Edna, you really need to stop pole dancing”

Edna looks a bit worried and replies “Why doc? Am I getting arthritis?”

The doctor says “No, but you’re upsetting the other patients in the waiting room!”

I didn’t know where to look - I had told her that the pole was one of struts holding up the ceiling and that people were getting upset with her flinging her legs around it and writhing up and down, but did she take any notice, of course not!

It had been quite a few years since Edna had last had her eyes tested so from the doctor’s office we headed straight to the opticians to try and get her some new glasses….. and guess who she bumped into? – Everyone! LOL! She definitely needs those new glasses.

She explains to the optician that she keeps getting a stabbing pain in her eye whenever she drinks coffee, he replies, “well, have you tried taking the spoon out of the cup!

The optician told us that the glasses would be ready in an hour, so we went for a coffee and then went back to collect them.

Edna picks up her new glasses, puts them on and then says

“I can’t see very far in these new glasses”

The optician takes her to the door:

”What’s that up there?” he says

“The sun” replies Edna

“Well how far do you want to flippin’ well see, he says in exasperation.

Edna is feeling a little fed up with his attitude, so as we are stepping out the door she turns to him and says “Hey Doc, now that I can see properly again, looking at you has just reminded me of a good joke”

“Go on then” he says, humouring her “what is it?”

Edna: Knock, knock

Optician: Who’s there?

Edna: Reuben.

Optician: Reuben who?

Edna: Reuben my eyes ‘cos I can’t believe how ugly you are!

I was soooo embarrassed and have vowed that I will never take her into town alone again.

Today I made three bookmarks with the new tags motives.

Colored with Prismacolor.

I've used stickers from "ADORNit" for the text.

Because of the plastic case as a protection they can not garnish anything, so I've only used ribbons at the top of each one.

Mojo Monday - Valentine

Welcome to Mojo Monday, and as its Valentines Day tomorrow. I thought I would share with you a little bit of LOVE lol!

A few years ago when my daughter was little my husband brought me for Valentine's day the biggest stuffed dog. He left it downstairs and as he was at work on Valentine and I wouldn't see him he let me have it a night early - but of us went running downstairs to see what it was. The only thing was as my daughter was only little at the time I never really ended up with is - she took it and for the next few weeks every night my husband had to tell us who's turn it was to have it! It now sits at the end of the bed but every so often we still have a friendly fight about who's having him!!!!

Well ladies and gentlemen....it's been very quiet this week as Colette hasn't been feeling very well since she ate some 'curry pie' that had been in the fridge on Tuesday....unfortunately though it was a curry that Edna had made before she left for her pole-dancing job in Las Vegas. Colette assumed that the 'skin' lying on top was the crust of the pie....but it wasn't...it was 4 week old curry sauce!!!! SO...this has resulted in Colette camping out in the third floor toilet......Debbie's been desperate to get in there to clean it (Gosh that woman's needing a new hobby) anyway......the one good thing about her dodgy tummy is that she can't tell you all about what's been on at the Towers this week...thank goodness because it's all QUITE embarrassing!!!

With Colette being 'out of commission' it has allowed the girls to get a lot of wonderful cards made!!!

Mojo Monday

Hello again, well I guess you know next week is Valentine's Day, that means hearts and romance. But after looking on Pinterest I came across a picture of a heart made out of a zip. I loved it and then went looking for other different hearts. With the hope that they may inspire you a little - lol I LOVE the egg one!

Fairy Tale Friday #30

We’ve had a bit of trouble at the towers this week, mainly over the Haggis from last week’s Burn’s Night Ceremony.

Claire had decided that she wanted to keep the Haggis as a pet and named him Hamish, but Gayle thought he was nice and plump and meaty and would be perfect in a Haggis Lasagne, so Claire decided to hide him to keep him out of harm’s way. She found somewhere safe and warm to keep him and would sneak him little treats of Marmite sandwiches and Sticky toffee pudding, favourite foods of the Highland Haggis! One day she took him his treats, only to find that he wasn’t there, she looked all around, but he was nowhere to be found.
Suddenly, she appeared in the kitchen, ran over to the pot Gayle had on the stove (Gayle was cooking the meat for her latest batch of Haggis Hotdogs!)and stared into it her eyes filling up with tears. We were all looking a little bemused, as at this point we had no idea what the problem was. Claire turned to Gayle, just as the first teardrop dripped from her eye and landed on her best pink glittered twin-set with a plop. Why? she cried, how could you?, how could I what?, asked Gayle. How could you turn Hamish into a hotdog, he was such a special little Haggis, I had just finished knitting him a kilt and a Tam’o’Shanter hat ready for our next party, he was going to look cute and cuddly, and now he’s going to end up on a buttered roll, covered in ketchup, I can’t believe you could be so cruel!

Gayle looked totally bewildered, as did the rest of us, except, for Hazel, who looked decidedly shifty, and began edging her way out of the room. As soon as she reached the door, she headed for the stairs at great speed, Claire noticed her out of the corner of her eye and took off after her, the rest of us followed behind, but we weren’t as fast as Claire, who had taken the stairs three at a time, and we arrived in Hazel’s bedroom to find Claire and Hazel pulling hair and throwing punches at each other, while Hazel’s Black Cat - Cougar, and Hamish the Haggis, peered out from under Hazel’s bed looking terrified.

Everyone was trying to get between them and break up the fight, except for Edna, who was shouting, go on Claire sock it to her, come on Hazel, stop punching like a girl and belt her one, knock her teeth out (we then heard her muttering under her breath - I could do with a new set of teeth and they would suit me perfectly, nice and even and pearly white!) Nicole managed to grab Edna and restrain her, as she was about to jump in and aim a punch at Claire’s teeth.

Just at that moment Hamish let out a little frightened yelp, Claire stopped to look down at him just as Hazel’s fist connected with her nose, the blow knocked her over and she bumped her head against the headboard of the bed as she fell. Edna held Hazel’s hand aloft and proclaimed her the winner, but Hazel was immediately sorry for what she had done and was staring worriedly down at Claire, who was looking around dazedly and asking us if we could see the stars twinkling around her head, weren’t they pretty, they were all pink and glittery, wearing twin-sets, singing - Always look on the bright side of life and dancing the can-can!!! The bang on her head must have been very hard if she was seeing stars!

After a few minutes Claire seemed to be herself again, and Hazel was explaining that she thought Hamish was really cute and would make a great little friend for Cougar. Look, she said, they really like each other. We lifted up the valance on Hazel’s bed to see the two of them now fast asleep, curled up together, one of Hamish’s short legs gently resting across Cougar’s tummy. They looked so sweet cuddled up together, that Claire didn’t have the heart to move Hamish and they decided they would share the job of looking after him, so all’s well that ends well.

Oh, and just a quickie, Debbie went off to a singing competition the other day, she didn’t look too happy when she arrived home, but she had two medals, a little silver one and a huge gold one. Being impressed by the fact that she had won two medals and having no idea why she looked so down, we asked her what she got the silver one for - singing, she replied, everyone who entered got one, well you were obviously brilliant at something we said, look at the size of that big gold one, what did you get that for – stopping – she replied despondently!!!

Happy Teddy Bo Tuesday!!

Good Morning Teddy Bo-ettes.....how are you all this morning?!??!?! It's another 'fresh' day here at the Towers...it's trying to snow again...so with all this bad weather and our design team's reluctance to wear much clothing or go outside without a tankful of schnapps!!....we've been doing some Spring Cleaning this week. Let me tell you....there are cobwebs in places you WOULDN'T expect them...isn't that right Colette!!?!?!?

Helle (our resident 'cocktail shaker') has been walking the floorboards at night awaiting the birth of her first Granddaughter......well.....thank goodness this little angel has finally arrived as Helle was driving us all potty (she has a VERY squeaky floorboard in her room and kept picking that one to walk over!!) So how delighted was she when this photo arrived on the Teddy Bo T'internet to show us what she looked like....

She's only 3 days old here and isn't she just beautiful. Little Jessica doesn't know us all yet (we'll break her in gently)...but her 'extended' Teddy Bo family want to wish her and her family lots of cuddles and kisses...we have packed Helle off for a couple of days back home to visit this precious little baby and have warned her she must make her partner Freddy take LOTS and LOTS of pictures.....xxxx

I thought today we would look at beautiful Pink Roses that I have come across on Pinterest, I love roses and pink ones are even better lol! I love roses as I think they are so romantic and beautiful and I love the beautiful smell that you get when you brush past them in the garden.

There was a knock at the door of the towers on Tuesday of this week and to our surprise, standing there, was a very bedraggled looking Edna, no hair, no teeth and wearing nothing more than a spangly bikini and six inch high stiletto heels (not much changed there then).

Nicole and Nela had collected all the stuff Edna hadn't taken when she went to Vegas and piled it into the attic, so they ran up and found her a set of dentures and a nice mauve wig.

Over a couple of glasses of Watercress Whisky (Jill and Helle’s new brew, in preparation for our Burns Night Supper, - a big celebration in Scotland) Edna told us why she had ended up returning to the towers.

It seems that Wrinkly Willy, already had a girl in Vegas, she was a member of a rival Pole dancing troupe called the Pensioners of Pleasure, and her name was Provocative Pru, the Princess of Passion!

It seems Pru found out about Edna playing with Wrinkly Willy’s pistol and didn’t like it at all, so she turned up at the club one night, just as Edna was doing one of her most complicated pole dancing moves which involved hanging upside down from the pole. Pru grabbed Edna by the hair, which came off in her hand, so she grabbed her by her spangly bra top, which also came off in her hand! Edna’s boobs immediately drooped over her eyes so that she couldn’t see what was happening. Pru dragged her from the pole and flung her across the room (she was the size of a sumo wrestler, so Edna had no chance). Edna’s teeth flew out of her mouth and landed with a plop into one of the customer’s drinks and to Edna’s embarrassment she landed on the head of another customer, slid down his face,(she was still greasy from the baby oil they use to grease the pole) and plopped into his lap. He jumped up in shock and she slipped to the floor, knocking the table over as she went, and ending up covered in beer, ribs and coleslaw (he was just about to eat).

Edna looked up to find Pru standing over her holding tightly to Wrinkly Willy’s pistol and aiming straight between Edna’s eyes. She told Edna to get out of Vegas and keep away from Wrinkly Willy or Edna would find herself with his pistol right where the sun don’t shine!!!

Edna was marched to the airport at gunpoint and booked on to the next flight to Scotland, she was still wearing her pole dancing outfit and had no other clothes with her.

Unfortunately Edna seems to have an aversion to the bears since she got back and runs from the room screaming if one of them goes near her. It seems Pru is totally covered in a thick layer of honey brown hair and looks like a big scary teddy bear, so at the moment Edna is keeping well away from anything bear like, because they give her nightmares!

On Wednesday we had our Burns Night Supper, as it was a traditional Scottish celebration, Claire decided to give Gayle the night off and said she would prepare the food and sort everything out. Of course Edna wanted to help too, as she wanted to make herself useful.

We all sat in the great hall which was decorated with lots of tartan, apart from Tammy’s table which of course was decorated with rubber. We were asked to stand up while the Haggis was being piped in, Liz and Kirsty-Anne played a tune on the bagpipes while Claire carried in a silver tray, held high above her head, followed by Edna who was going to address the Haggis and Helle who carried a tray containing three glasses of Watercress Whisky, one for each of them for the toasting of the Haggis.

We all clapped our hands in time to the music until the tray was placed on a large table at the head of the room and Claire with great aplomb lifted the lid from the tray to show us the Haggis.

Unfortunately Claire being a great animal lover, hadn’t had the heart to kill and cook the Haggis, so he sat there on the tray staring at us all sadly, with his three little eyes, a tear silently falling from the middle one, his two short inside legs folded across his chest and his two longer outside ones curled up underneath him, his hairy toes just peeping out.

Claire just carried on regardless, telling us it was now time for Edna to Address the Haggis.

Edna looking very elegant in tartan leggings and a bra top made from two sporrans, walked quickly up to the Haggis, looked him in the eyes and said in her poshest voice –

Haggis, your address is

Scotland.

Turned to us all, took a bow and tottered off in her very high heels, towards Helle.

Next Claire announced it was time for the Haggis’s Toast, we all stood and raised our glasses, but Claire went over to the table, lifted a cover off another tray and gave the Haggis a piece of lovely thick, hot toast dripping with butter, which he took gratefully and started to devour with great joy and lots of lip smacking.

Gayle who up until this point had been too dumbfounded to speak, asked Claire what on earth she was doing, Claire replied that she had googled Burns night Supper and it said that the Haggis had to be piped in, addressed and then given a toast and that was exactly what she had done, was there a problem?

Gayle gulped her Whisky down and stomped from the room shaking her head and muttering some very rude words, Liz and Kirsty-Anne following behind, flouncing their kilts as they went.

I think that will probably be the last time Gayle will allow anyone else to arrange The Burns Night Supper!

There hasn't been much work done in the towers this week as we have been too busy catching up with Edna and all her news, but we do have a few cards to show you.

Hello again and welcome back to my little chance to inspire you maybe a little.

Today I would like to show you some photo's I have found on Pinterest, today they are Peacocks Feathers. Now I love Peacocks and the way they strut there stuff and shake their tail feathers! I also love the colours and they way the colour hits them and makes them shine.

Wikipedia - Peacocks/Peafowl

Peafowl are two Asiatic species of flying birds in the genus Pavo of the pheasant family, Phasianidae, best known for the male's extravagant eye-spotted tail, which it displays as part of courtship. The male is called a peacock, the female a peahen, and the offspring peachicks.^[1] The adult female peafowl is grey and/or brown. Peachicks can be between yellow and a tawny colour with darker brown patches.
The species are:

Indian Peafowl, Pavo cristatus, a resident breeder in South Asia. The peacock is designated as the national bird of India and the provincial bird of Punjab.
Green Peafowl, Pavo muticus. Breeds from Burma east to Java. The IUCN lists the Green Peafowl as vulnerable to extinction due to hunting and a reduction in extent and quality of habitat.

Aren't those shoes just GORGEOUS!!!!
